Our Commitment

Jorge Downie Homes is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Washington State accessibility requirements.

Conformance Status

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Our current accessibility features include:

  • Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
  • Alt text for all informational images
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
  • Keyboard-navigable interface
  • Responsive design for mobile and tablet devices
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements
  • Skip-to-content navigation links

Known Limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some third-party tools embedded on this site (booking calendars, map widgets, MLS search iframes) may not fully meet these standards. We are working with our vendors to improve accessibility in these areas.

Reasonable Accommodations

In compliance with the ADA and Washington State law (RCW 49.60), we provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities. If you need assistance accessing any real estate information or services, please contact us and we will provide an alternative means of access.
